Jack joined Thompson Davis & Co. in July 2018 as chief investment officer. He also is an active portfolio manager at the firm. Jack will assist in the oversight of existing portfolio strategies, generate new investment ideas for those strategies, and help the firm develop new investment products.
Jack began his investment career in 1993 as an institutional research analyst at Davenport & Company. In 1997, he joined the equity research department of BB&T Capital Markets, where he followed building products companies as managing director before becoming head of equity sales and trading. Most recently, he was director of research with Heritage Wealth Advisors, a registered investment advisor.
Jack earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the College of William and Mary. He holds Series 7, 24, 55, 65, and 87 licenses. He has served on the Richmond Regional Selection Committee for the Jefferson Scholars Program and the Richmond Regional Board of the College Foundation at the University of Virginia. Jack lives in Henrico, Virginia, with his wife Karen. They have two grown daughters.
